Fidan, Rubio Discuss Gaza Ceasefire and Regional Security Issues

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a phone conversation on Thursday to discuss the current Gaza ceasefire and regional issues, according to Turkish diplomatic sources.
During the call, both sides exchanged views on steps to sustain the fragile ceasefire in the war-torn Palestinian territory and emphasized the importance of ensuring the continuous and unhindered flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Fidan and Rubio also reviewed the implementation of the Declaration of Intent signed earlier this week in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, which outlines cooperative measures for stabilizing the situation and supporting reconstruction efforts.
In addition to the Gaza developments, the two ministers discussed the situation in Syria, ongoing negotiations surrounding Iran’s nuclear program, and the evolving dynamics of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The conversation underscored Ankara and Washington’s continued engagement on key regional and international security matters.
