AZAL Launches New Digital Boarding Pass Feature for Apple and Google Wallets

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s national air carrier, AZAL, has introduced a new digital feature aimed at streamlining the check-in and boarding experience for passengers. Travellers can now save their boarding passes directly to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, a service available to all customers who book their tickets through the AZAL mobile application.

After completing online check-in, passengers can add their digital boarding pass to their mobile wallet with ease and present it at the airport without requiring an internet connection. The new feature is expected to accelerate the boarding process, enhance convenience during airport control procedures, and eliminate the need for printed documents.

By storing the boarding pass digitally, passengers have all essential flight information in one place, accessible at any time—an advantage particularly useful for transit flights and while travelling abroad on roaming.

AZAL stated that the introduction of this feature aligns with the airline’s broader strategy to expand its digital services and implement innovative solutions aimed at making air travel more comfortable and efficient. The carrier plans to continue upgrading its digital offerings in the future.
