Leyla Aliyeva Meets with Head of Uzbekistan’s Presidential Administration in Turkmenistan

Turkmenbashi, The Gulf Observer: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, held a meeting on December 10 with Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the sidelines of the international conference “The Role of Women in Modern Society: Promoting International Cooperation for Sustainable Development,” hosted in Turkmenistan.

The meeting reaffirmed that strong bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan continue to advance through active cooperation between key institutions, including the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Zamin International Public Foundation. Both sides emphasized that such partnerships play an important role in deepening high-level ties between the two nations.

Focus on Women’s Empowerment and International Cooperation

Aliyeva and Mirziyoyeva highlighted the significance of the Turkmenistan conference as a platform for promoting women’s involvement in political, economic, and social life. They stressed that enhancing multilateral dialogue and expanding partnerships are essential to supporting sustainable development goals across the region.

The discussion also underscored the need to strengthen women’s contributions in fields such as education and healthcare, noting that greater empowerment in these sectors is vital for long-term progress.
