PM Shehbaz Sharif Participates in Wreath-Laying Ceremony on Turkmenistan Neutrality Day

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday joined international leaders at Turkmenistan’s iconic Neutrality Monument to lay a wreath marking the International Day of Neutrality and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
The two-day official visit to Ashgabat, at the invitation of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, coincides with the international forum organized in connection with the International Year of Peace and Trust 2025, the International Day of Neutrality, and Turkmenistan’s neutrality anniversary.
Alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz, the wreath-laying ceremony was attended by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Representatives from the United Nations and other international organizations also participated.
Upon arrival, the visiting leaders were warmly received by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The Neutrality Monument, designed as a trio of ascending pillars, reflects the cultural heritage of Turkmenistan and serves as a prominent symbol of the nation’s dedication to peace, humanism, and constructive diplomacy.
