President, Prime Minister Pay Tribute to PAF on Successful Test of Taimoor Cruise Missile

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday paid tribute to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) following the successful test of its indigenously developed Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile.
In a statement issued by the Presidency, President Zardari said the local production of modern weapons is a clear reflection of Pakistan’s national capability, determination, and strong institutional capacity. He noted that the successful test has further enhanced the country’s defense strength and reinforced its responsible defense policy aimed at maintaining regional stability.
“This success is a significant step forward in the journey of self-reliance in national defense,” the president said.
President Zardari commended the hard work, professional dedication, and spirit of national service demonstrated by scientists, engineers, and the officers and personnel of the Pakistan Air Force. He added that the advancement of modern technology in the defense sector underscores Pakistan’s firm commitment to safeguarding its security and sovereignty.
In a separate statement, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the nation and the Pakistan Air Force on the successful test of the indigenously developed Taimoor Weapon System.
The prime minister paid tribute to the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir; Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu; as well as the scientists and engineers associated with the missile program.
PM Shehbaz praised the professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment of the Pakistan Air Force in strengthening the country’s defense capabilities.
“The country’s defense will be further strengthened thanks to the Taimoor Weapon System. The successful flight test demonstrates the technological maturity, innovation, and self-reliance of Pakistan’s defense industry and reflects the Pakistan Air Force’s operational readiness, technological superiority, and continuous efforts to achieve national security objectives,” the prime minister said.
