Trump Claims Large-Scale U.S. Strike Against Venezuela, Says Maduro Captured

Trump

Washington, The Gulf Observer: U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday claimed that the United States had “successfully” carried out a “large-scale strike” against Venezuela, asserting that President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were captured and removed from the country.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said, “The United States of America has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the country.”

In a brief written statement, Trump added that the operation was conducted “in conjunction with U.S. law enforcement,” without providing further details or evidence to support the claim.

He said additional information would be released later and announced that a news conference would be held at 11 a.m. at his Mar-a-Lago residence in the U.S. state of Florida.

There was no immediate confirmation of Trump’s claims from U.S. government authorities or independent sources at the time of the announcement.
