Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi Reviews Prospects for Strengthening Ties with Azerbaijan

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has discussed the prospects of bilateral relations with Azerbaijan during a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Baku, Mojtaba Demirchilou.

According to Azerbaijani media, the information was shared via the official Telegram channel of the Iranian foreign minister. During the meeting, Ambassador Demirchilou briefed Foreign Minister Araghchi on the current state of Iran-Azerbaijan relations, as well as recent developments and ongoing diplomatic engagements between the two neighboring countries.

Foreign Minister Araghchi underscored the importance of consistently strengthening and expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan across a wide range of sectors, including economic collaboration, transit and connectivity, political dialogue, cultural exchanges, and humanitarian cooperation.

He emphasized that deeper and sustained engagement in these areas is vital for more effectively advancing Iran’s good-neighborly policy and for promoting mutual trust, stability, and shared regional interests. Araghchi further noted that enhanced bilateral cooperation would contribute positively to regional development and long-term partnership between Tehran and Baku.
