Islamabad

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday described the inauguration of the ASAN Khidmat Center as a highly significant occasion for the people of Pakistan, particularly the residents of Islamabad, and expressed deep gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for his unwavering support in making the project a reality.

Addressing the ceremony, the prime minister said the establishment of the ASAN Khidmat Center would not have been possible without the strong backing of President Ilham Aliyev, whom he described as a “dear brother.” He recalled his official visit to Azerbaijan last year, during which he visited an ASAN service center in Baku and was deeply impressed by its efficiency, innovation, and exemplary public service model.

The prime minister said that following his visit, he had requested the establishment of a similar center in Islamabad as a first step toward modernizing public service delivery in Pakistan. “Today, we are finally here,” he remarked, noting the presence and support of the ASAN service leadership and delegation, whose cooperation he termed unparalleled.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further stated that the advanced technology and systems used at the center were gifted by Azerbaijan on the direction of President Ilham Aliyev, reflecting the depth of brotherly relations between the two countries. He reiterated his profound appreciation to the Azerbaijani leadership for their assistance and cooperation.

Announcing that the center formally begins operations from today, the prime minister expressed confidence that, God willing, the ASAN Khidmat model would be expanded further, with similar centers to be established in other regions of Pakistan in the future.
