Turkmenistan and Pakistan Discuss Enhanced Cooperation in Technical and Vocational Education

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: On January 30, 2026, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. A. Movlamov, held a meeting with Ms. Gulmina Bilal Ahmad, Chairperson of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) of Pakistan, in Islamabad to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of technical and vocational education.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on prospective areas of collaboration, with a particular focus on the exchange of best practices, the development of joint capacity-building programs, and the advancement of technical and vocational training frameworks between Turkmenistan and Pakistan.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of fostering closer institutional linkages to enhance skills development and workforce readiness in both countries, in line with their shared development priorities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed to maintain regular dialogue and continue the exchange of information, while exploring opportunities to implement joint educational projects and programs. These include initiatives aimed at promoting the teaching and study of the Urdu language in Turkmenistan, reflecting areas of mutual interest and cultural cooperation.
