Trump Confirms Greenland Talks, Seeks Positive Outcome for U.S. and Europe

Washington, The Gulf Observer: U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that negotiations over Greenland have commenced, expressing optimism for a mutually beneficial outcome for both the United States and Europe, according to media reports.
Speaking to journalists aboard Air Force One, President Trump stated that discussions are already underway and described a potential agreement as significant from a national security perspective. He noted that Europe also seeks the conclusion of a deal with the United States.
The comments follow recent talks between President Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, during which preliminary outlines of a possible agreement reportedly emerged.
Meanwhile, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen emphasized that NATO does not possess the authority to negotiate on Denmark’s behalf.
