Ganja, The Gulf Observer: Leyla Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva have visited the Ganja Memorial Complex, where they familiarized themselves with the facilities and the mission of the memorial dedicated to honoring the innocent victims of Armenia’s rocket attacks during the Second Garabagh War.
The memorial complex was inaugurated on September 27, 2025—Remembrance Day—by Ilham Aliyev. It serves to perpetually commemorate civilian victims of the war and to convey the harsh realities of the conflict to future generations. The complex includes a museum exhibition on the first floor, while the second floor features a hall designed to host various commemorative and public events.
As part of their visit to Ganja, Leyla Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva also met with the family of National Hero Natig Gasimov. During the meeting, the memory of the hero was honored with deep respect, and a warm and sincere conversation took place with his family members.
Natig Gasimov is remembered for his exceptional courage during the battles in the Aghdam–Khankendi direction in the First Garabagh War. Despite being surrounded alone for five days, he continued to resist enemy forces until the very end, displaying extraordinary bravery and devotion.
During the visit, the honorable life, military service, and heroic combat path of the martyr were once again respectfully commemorated, underscoring the nation’s enduring gratitude for his sacrifice.
