Thirty Families Resettled in Khojavand’s Hadrut and Girmizi Bazar Settlements Under State Repatriation Program

Khojavand, The Gulf Observer: A total of 30 families, comprising 138 individuals, have been resettled in the Hadrut and Girmizi Bazar settlements of the Khojavand district and were presented with the keys to their newly built homes as part of Azerbaijan’s ongoing repatriation program.
The key handover ceremony was attended by officials from the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in the city of Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavand districts, as well as representatives of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action.
The resettlement is being carried out in accordance with the directives of Ilham Aliyev, as part of a broader strategy to facilitate the safe and dignified return of former internally displaced persons to their native lands.
Under the current phase of relocation, 10 families comprising 47 individuals were settled in Hadrut, while 20 families totaling 91 individuals were relocated to the Girmizi Bazar settlement.
The initiative forms part of the government’s comprehensive reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in the liberated territories, focusing on restoring infrastructure, ensuring safety through demining operations, and creating sustainable living conditions for returning residents.
