Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on the occasion of Pakistan Day, paying tribute to the vision, sacrifices, and resilience that led to the creation of Pakistan.

In his message, the Prime Minister described March 23 as a historic milestone in South Asia, recalling that 86 years ago, the Muslim leadership of the subcontinent united to lay the foundation for an independent homeland. He noted that the Lahore Resolution of March 23, 1940, provided a clear direction and strengthened the resolve of Muslims to secure their constitutional and political rights.

He said that within seven years of that historic moment, Pakistan emerged on August 14, 1947, as a result of the foresight, determination, and sacrifices of its founding leaders. The Prime Minister emphasized that since its creation, the nation has demonstrated extraordinary resilience, progressing from a newly established state to a nuclear power through unwavering commitment and strength.

Shehbaz Sharif stressed the need to continue working tirelessly to shape Pakistan in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Despite challenges, he said, the government has placed the country’s economy on a path of sustainable growth, citing declining inflation, increasing investor confidence, and improving economic indicators.

He paid tribute to the armed forces and law enforcement agencies for defending the country’s sovereignty and independence. Referring to recent operations, he said that the armed forces delivered a strong response to enemy aggression, writing a golden chapter in military history and proving that Pakistan’s defense is invincible.

The Prime Minister also highlighted Operation “Ghazan-e-Lil-Haq,” launched on February 26, 2026, in response to unprovoked aggression by militant elements, stating that it symbolizes the nation’s unwavering resolve against terrorism.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to global peace, he stated that sustainable peace in South Asia is linked to a just resolution of the Kashmir issue. He reiterated Pakistan’s continued moral, political, and diplomatic support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, as well as solidarity with the Palestinian people. He also expressed concern over the recent tensions in the Middle East.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan, as a responsible state, remains committed to balanced and active diplomacy, believing that dialogue is the only path to lasting peace.

Concluding his message, he paid homage to the leaders and workers of the Pakistan Movement and saluted the brave personnel of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies. He reaffirmed that the nation remains determined to uphold its proud traditions and continue striving for a strong, prosperous, and developed Pakistan through unity, hard work, and collective effort.
