Portuguese Ambassador-Designate Meets Turkmen Envoy in Islamabad, Reaffirms Diplomatic Engagement

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Paulo Miguel Guedes Domingues, Ambassador-designate of Portugal to Pakistan, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Atadjan Movlamov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan, at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad on March 25, 2026.
At the outset of the meeting, Ambassador Movlamov warmly congratulated the Portuguese envoy on his appointment and conveyed his best wishes for a successful and productive diplomatic tenure in Pakistan.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters pertaining to the functioning of the Diplomatic Corps in Islamabad, as well as avenues for enhanced interaction with Pakistani public and private sector entities.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of fostering cooperation and coordination within the diplomatic community to further strengthen bilateral and multilateral engagement.
Following the meeting, the two diplomats reaffirmed their mutual interest in maintaining regular contacts and continued collaboration within the diplomatic corps in Islamabad.
