Hero-Arkadag Meets Head of Turkmen-Austrian Society to Strengthen Bilateral Cultural and Institutional Cooperation

Vienna, The Gulf Observer: The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, held a meeting with Neda Berger, head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society, during his official visit to the Austria on April 9, 2026.
During the meeting, Neda Berger expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to meet and noted that the visit of Hero-Arkadag to Austria would mark a significant step toward strengthening bilateral relations and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
In response, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow thanked Berger for her kind remarks and commended her longstanding leadership of the Turkmen-Austrian Society, highlighting her valuable contribution to enhancing comprehensive ties between Turkmenistan and Austria.
Both sides underscored the importance of the Society’s activities, noting that its regular engagements have opened new avenues for cooperation, particularly in the trade, financial, and investment sectors.
Special emphasis was placed on the role of the Turkmen-Austrian Symphony Orchestra “Galkynysh,” described as a unique cultural initiative that symbolizes a bridge between Eastern and Western civilizations. Berger expressed appreciation for Berdimuhamedow’s continued support for cultural and humanitarian dialogue between the two nations.
The Turkmen leader also acknowledged Berger’s dedicated efforts in promoting friendship and cooperation, stressing the significance of cultural initiatives carried out jointly with the Society.
For her part, Berger highlighted the importance of Berdimuhamedow’s initiatives aimed at deepening engagement between Turkmenistan and Austria, particularly in the cultural sphere.
The meeting concluded with both sides exchanging warm wishes and reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening cultural cooperation as a key pillar of bilateral relations.
