Pakistan, Turkmenistan Discuss Expanding Trade, Energy and Regional Connectivity Cooperation

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: H.E. A. Movlamov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, met with Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan on May 11, 2026, to review bilateral relations and explore new avenues for cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the growing significance of regional trade corridors, logistics connectivity, and the enhancement of trade relations between Pakistan and the countries of Central Asia.

The discussions focused on expanding trade routes, facilitating the smooth movement of goods, and strengthening direct interaction between the business communities of Pakistan and Turkmenistan.

The two sides also expressed keen interest in broadening cooperation in the energy sector, advancing infrastructure-related projects, and maintaining engagement through business forums, trade exhibitions, and chambers of commerce and industry.

The meeting underscored the shared commitment of both countries to promoting regional economic integration and enhancing bilateral commercial ties.
