Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has assured that the country remains in a safe and stable condition despite ongoing global uncertainties, stating that Indonesia’s food and energy resilience continues to be well maintained amid international turmoil.

Speaking in Nganjuk, East Java, on Saturday, President Prabowo said that Indonesia’s food and energy supplies remain secure while many countries across the world are facing panic due to worsening geopolitical and economic conditions.

“Food is safe, energy is safe. Many countries are panicking, Indonesia is still okay,” the President stated.

Prabowo noted that despite concerns raised by some groups regarding the weakening of the Indonesian rupiah against the United States dollar and fears of economic instability, people in rural areas are largely unaffected in their daily lives.

The Indonesian President emphasized that the nation’s food and energy security remains strong despite the ongoing global crisis and disruptions caused by conflict in the Middle East.

He further revealed that several countries have begun seeking assistance from Indonesia following global supply chain disruptions, particularly due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Prabowo, countries have requested fertilizer and rice supplies from Indonesia as shortages continue to affect international markets.

“Many countries are asking for fertilizer from Indonesia. We are not euphoric, we are not arrogant, but we are in a position to provide assistance,” he said.

Prabowo disclosed that Australia is among the nations requesting fertilizer support, with Indonesia agreeing to export 500,000 tons of urea fertilizer to the country.

In addition to Australia, countries including the Philippines, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil have reportedly requested fertilizer supplies from Indonesia. The President stated that he has instructed authorities to accommodate all such requests.

Prabowo also stressed the importance of safeguarding Indonesia’s natural wealth and strategic resources to ensure the greatest prosperity for the Indonesian people.

Expressing confidence in the country’s future, the President said he remains optimistic that Indonesia will soon emerge as a stronger and more resilient nation.

“I am determined, I believe, and I am optimistic that soon in the near future we will rise,” Prabowo remarked.
