Kazakh Military Delegation Visits Azerbaijan to Enhance Defense Education Cooperation

Baku, The Gulf Observer: A delegation led by Baurzhan Abzhanov, Head of the National Defense University of the Kazakhstan, paid an official visit to Azerbaijan aimed at strengthening cooperation in military education and professional exchange.

During the visit, the delegation first visited the Alley of Shehids, where they laid flowers and paid tribute to the memory of Azerbaijani martyrs.

The delegation later met with Gunduz Abdulov, Rector of the National Defense University of Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the Kazakh side received a detailed briefing on the university’s history, educational system, and key areas of activity.

Officials also highlighted the successful reforms implemented in military education within the Azerbaijan Army and discussed the positive outcomes achieved through modernization efforts. Both sides emphasized the importance of mutual exchange of experience in strengthening the professional knowledge and skills of servicemen.

As part of the program, the delegation toured several institutions under the National Defense University, including the War Games Center, the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, and the Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakhchivanski, where they were ознакомed with the educational facilities and conditions created for cadets and officers.

The guests also visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum located within the educational institutions, where they were briefed on the life and political legacy of Heydar Aliyev.

During the visit, the head of the Kazakh delegation signed the Book of Honored Guests.

At the Victory Museum, the delegation was informed about the significance of Azerbaijan’s historic victory during the Patriotic War.

The visit concluded with an exchange of gifts and an official commemorative photograph between the two sides.
