UAE President Receives Presidential Camel Racing Team, Praises Outstanding Season Achievements

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the Presidential Camel Racing Team in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and commended the team for its remarkable achievements during the 2025–2026 camel racing season.
During the meeting, the President reviewed the team’s accomplishments across major camel racing festivals and championships in the UAE and Gulf region. Accompanied by His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President and Chairman of the UAE Camel Racing Federation, the delegation highlighted a series of notable victories, including successes at the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival in Saudi Arabia, Oman’s Al Etihad Festival and Al Bashayer Festival, the Kuwait International Camel Racing Championship, as well as the season-closing festivals in Al Marmoom and Al Shahaniya.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated the team on its achievements and praised its efforts in enhancing the performance and competitiveness of the Presidential Camel Racing Team, describing the accomplishments as a reflection of dedication, excellence and commitment to preserving a key aspect of the nation’s heritage.
The UAE President emphasized that camel racing remains an integral component of the country’s cultural identity and heritage, reflecting the deep-rooted values and traditions of Emirati society. He underscored the importance of continued support for camel racing and other heritage sports to ensure their preservation and transmission to future generations.
Members of the delegation expressed their gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his unwavering support of camel racing and heritage sports in the UAE. They noted that his continued encouragement has strengthened the team’s ability to compete successfully in prestigious events both within the country and across the region.
