President Emomali Rahmon Receives Qatari Business Leader to Discuss Investment and Economic Cooperation

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Business Association and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Faisal Holding, at the Palace of the Nation on June 15.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to expand trade, economic and investment cooperation between Tajikistan, the Qatar Business Association, and the Faisal Holding group of companies.
Particular attention was given to attracting investment for the implementation of major infrastructure and industrial projects in priority sectors of Tajikistan’s economy.
The discussions also focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in industry, agriculture, transport, hydropower, finance and banking, as well as education, healthcare, tourism, and the development of modern infrastructure.
Both sides agreed to continue joint efforts to make effective use of the existing opportunities and further enhance mutually beneficial cooperation across these sectors.
The meeting reflected the shared commitment of Tajikistan and Qatar’s business community to deepening economic ties and promoting investment-driven development.
