UAE and Egyptian Presidents Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and Regional Developments in Cairo
Cairo, The Gulf Observer: UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during a fraternal visit to Egypt, where the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views on key regional and international developments.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed the longstanding and strategic relationship between the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, highlighting cooperation across a range of sectors, particularly development-related fields. They also explored opportunities to further enhance collaboration in ways that serve the mutual interests of both countries and contribute to the prosperity and wellbeing of their peoples.
The two presidents reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close consultation and coordination on issues of common concern, particularly in light of the challenges facing the Middle East and the wider region.
Discussions also focused on several regional and international issues, with particular attention given to recent developments in the Middle East and their implications for regional and global security and stability. Both leaders emphasized the importance of advancing peace, stability and dialogue as fundamental pillars for sustainable development and a more prosperous future for the peoples of the region.
The meeting underscored the strong partnership between the UAE and Egypt and their shared commitment to supporting efforts aimed at promoting regional security, economic growth and constructive cooperation.
Earlier in the day, President El-Sisi welcomed Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport.
The UAE President was accompanied by a high-level delegation that included Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, as well as several ministers and senior officials.
