Belgium Crush USA 4-1 to Reach FIFA World Cup Quarter-finals

Seattle, The Gulf Observer: Belgium produced a commanding display to defeat co-hosts the United States 4-1 in the Round of 16, ending the Americans’ FIFA World Cup campaign and securing a place in the quarter-finals.
Belgium made a strong start to the contest, taking the lead in the ninth minute through Charles De Ketelaere. The United States responded in the 31st minute when Malik Tillman found the equaliser, raising hopes of a comeback for the home side.
However, Belgium restored their advantage almost immediately, with De Ketelaere netting his second goal of the match just two minutes later to give his team a 2-1 lead before halftime.
The visitors extended their advantage in the 57th minute as Hans Vanaken capitalised on a costly defensive error by the United States to make it 3-1. Substitute Romelu Lukaku completed the scoring in stoppage time, sealing an emphatic 4-1 victory for Belgium.
The result sends Belgium into the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals, where they will face reigning European champions Spain, who advanced after edging Portugal 1-0 earlier in the day.
