Azerbaijani Defense Chief Sends Condolence Message to Pakistan Over Tank Terrorist Attack

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, has expressed profound condolences to Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, following the deadly terrorist attack on a security forces checkpoint in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Tank district.

According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense, Colonel General Hasanov sent a condolence letter to the Pakistan Army chief, expressing deep sorrow over the attack carried out using an explosives-laden vehicle, which claimed the lives of 14 people, including 12 military personnel, and left 24 others injured.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of the attack carried out with an explosives-laden vehicle against a security forces checkpoint in the Tank district of Pakistan’s north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which claimed the lives of 14 people, including 12 military personnel, and injured 24 others,” the Azerbaijani defense minister said in his message.

He prayed to Almighty Allah for the eternal peace of those who lost their lives and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

Colonel General Hasanov also prayed for the speedy and complete recovery of those injured in the attack, reaffirming Azerbaijan’s solidarity with Pakistan during this difficult time.

“May Allah grant eternal peace to the deceased,” the condolence message concluded.
