Azerbaijan’s Defence Minister Meets Military Attachés, Highlights Peace Policy and Defence Cooperation
Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, held a meeting with military attachés assigned to the country’s embassies abroad to review the progress of international military cooperation and discuss efforts to advance Azerbaijan’s defence diplomacy, the Ministry of Defense said on Monday.
During the meeting, the Defence Minister received a comprehensive briefing on the current state of Azerbaijan’s military cooperation with partner countries, the activities of military attaché offices throughout the year, and the work of newly established military attaché missions in foreign states.
The discussions also emphasized the importance of effectively promoting Azerbaijan’s state policy under the leadership of President and Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, particularly the initiatives aimed at ensuring sustainable peace and regional stability.
Participants highlighted the successful reforms being implemented in the development and modernization of Azerbaijan’s armed forces, underscoring the country’s continued efforts to strengthen its defence capabilities and expand international military engagement.
Colonel General Zakir Hasanov praised the contributions of Azerbaijan’s military attaché offices in safeguarding the nation’s interests abroad and enhancing bilateral military cooperation with partner countries. He commended their role in strengthening defence relations and representing Azerbaijan’s strategic priorities on the international stage.
The meeting reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to expanding defence diplomacy, promoting sustainable peace, and deepening military cooperation with friendly and partner nations.
