Pakistan Showcases Cultural Heritage During FIDE Advisor’s Visit, Strengthening International Ties
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and growing international engagement were highlighted during a day of cultural exploration and diplomatic interaction held in honour of Mr. Berik Tuktybekovich Balgabayev, Advisor to the President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), during his official visit to the country.
The day commenced with a visit to the Lok Virsa Museum, where participants explored Pakistan’s diverse cultural traditions and historical legacy. The delegation later toured the historic Shah Allah Ditta Caves, a renowned heritage site reflecting centuries of regional history and civilization.
The visit concluded with a grand dinner reception hosted by Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi, President of the Chess Federation of Pakistan, in honour of Mr. Balgabayev. The reception brought together prominent diplomatic and government personalities, underscoring the importance of cultural diplomacy and international cooperation.
Among the distinguished guests were Albert P. Khorev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Pakistan; Federal Minister of Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi; and Farah Naz Akbar.
The gathering provided an opportunity to promote cultural exchange, strengthen people-to-people connections, and reinforce international friendship through shared appreciation of Pakistan’s heritage and the unifying spirit of sports.
