Sri Lanka Expo 2027 to Be Held in Colombo in January

Colombo, The Gulf Observer: Sri Lanka Expo 2027, an international exhibition aimed at promoting the country’s products, investment opportunities and global business partnerships, will be held from January 14 to 17, 2027, at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo.
Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Sunil Handunnetti announced the dates on August 21 while addressing a meeting with heads of state and private media institutions at the Department of Government Information.
The international exhibition is being organised after a gap of nearly 15 years and is intended to showcase innovative Sri Lankan products and services, highlight investment opportunities across multiple sectors and strengthen economic and commercial partnerships with international markets.
According to the minister, around 1,500 foreign investors and buyers and approximately 750 exhibitors are expected to participate in the four-day event.
The exhibition is expected to provide a platform for Sri Lankan businesses to engage with international investors and buyers while promoting the country’s export potential and creating new opportunities for trade and investment.
Secretary to the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Thilaka Jayasundara and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board Mangala Wijesinghe were also present at the meeting, along with senior representatives of state and private media institutions.
