President Ilham Aliyev Allocates AZN 5 Million to Support Sabah FC

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an order providing financial support to Sabah Football Club following its qualification for the UEFA Champions League league phase.

Under the presidential order, AZN 5 million will be allocated to Sabah FC from the President’s Reserve Fund under Azerbaijan’s 2026 state budget.

The Ministry of Finance has been instructed to ensure the allocation of the funds specified in the order, while the Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked with resolving matters arising from its implementation.

Sabah FC secured its place in the UEFA Champions League league phase after defeating Israel’s Hapoel Beer-Sheva 6–4 on aggregate in the play-off round.

The club’s qualification marks a significant achievement for Azerbaijani football and provides the team with an opportunity to compete at the highest level of European club football.
