President Ilham Aliyev Congratulates Uzbek President on 35th Independence Anniversary

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has congratulated President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Uzbek people on the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence, praising Uzbekistan’s development achievements and the growing strategic partnership between the two brotherly nations.
In his congratulatory message dated August 28, President Aliyev extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to President Mirziyoyev and, through him, to the people of Uzbekistan on the landmark national occasion.
Aliyev highlighted Uzbekistan’s comprehensive and dynamic development since gaining independence, noting the country’s significant achievements and growing authority and respect at the regional and international levels.
He praised the large-scale reforms and construction projects implemented under President Mirziyoyev’s leadership, as well as the country’s economic progress and efforts to improve social welfare.
The Azerbaijani President said that the achievements of Uzbekistan were rooted in President Mirziyoyev’s dedicated efforts and the strong trust and support of the Uzbek people for the state policies being pursued.
“As a brotherly country and ally, we consider every success of Uzbekistan our own and take immense pride in it,” Aliyev said, recalling his visits to Uzbekistan and his recent state visit to the country, including his meeting with President Mirziyoyev.
The Azerbaijani leader emphasised that Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations, founded on shared historical and cultural roots, friendship and brotherhood, have reached their highest level.
He said the further comprehensive development and strengthening of bilateral relations with Uzbekistan remain among Azerbaijan’s top priorities.
Aliyev welcomed the growing cooperation between the two countries, noting that their interstate relations and alliance are being strengthened through joint efforts, while multifaceted cooperation continues to gain new practical substance.
He expressed confidence that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan would continue working together to preserve and strengthen their unity, expand comprehensive cooperation and further consolidate their alliance.
Concluding his message, President Aliyev wished President Mirziyoyev good health, happiness and success in his state activities, while wishing Uzbekistan continued prosperity, well-being and progress.
