Morocco-Founded ICDTA-GLOBAL to Make US Debut in New York

Casablanca, The Gulf Observer: The sixth International Conference on Digital Technologies and Applications (ICDTA-GLOBAL 2026) is set to take place on October 9–10 at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology in Flushing, New York, marking the first time the Moroccan-founded conference series will be held outside Morocco.

The two-day conference is expected to bring together around 250 participants, including researchers, authors and technology professionals from Africa, North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The event will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend either in person or online.

The conference’s international scientific committee comprises 145 experts from 49 countries, while participating authors represent countries including Morocco, the United States, France, Canada, China, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Qatar, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Brazil and Australia.

Artificial intelligence and digital technologies will feature prominently throughout the programme. Sessions will address large language models, natural language processing, computer vision, multimodal artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics and responsible AI.

The programme will also cover applications of AI in healthcare and biomedicine, business and finance, marketing, industry and supply chains, sustainability, mobility and education. Other areas include deep learning, robotics, embedded systems, data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, blockchain, the Internet of Things, digital transformation and digital government.

Energy and environmental technology sessions will focus on renewable energy generation, photovoltaics, smart grids, power systems, intelligent irrigation, sustainable agriculture, water systems, mobility and financial technologies.

ICDTA-GLOBAL is being held in technical cooperation with the International Federation for Information Processing, with Morocco World News serving as the official media partner.

The conference series has been held annually since 2021. Its first three editions took place in Fez, followed by Benguerir in 2024 and Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane in 2025. Springer Nature has published the proceedings of all five previous editions in its Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems series, comprising 968 papers in total.

According to the organizers, the New York edition aims to foster collaboration between Moroccan and US universities, laboratories and technology companies while enhancing the international visibility of Moroccan researchers.

The event will feature plenary presentations, oral sessions, poster presentations, an exhibition area and structured networking opportunities. The conference will be hosted at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology in Flushing, New York.
