Tajik President, Russian Federation Council Speaker Discuss Bilateral Cooperation
Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, held a telephone conversation with Valentina Matviyenko, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, on Monday.
During the conversation, Matviyenko sincerely congratulated President Rahmon on his birthday and conveyed her best wishes to him.
The two sides exchanged views on various aspects of multifaceted Tajik-Russian cooperation, including inter-parliamentary relations, which play an important role in strengthening relations between the two countries within the framework of their strategic partnership and allied ties.
President Rahmon expressed satisfaction with the steady development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia.
He expressed confidence that bilateral relations would continue to develop in a spirit of friendship, mutual understanding and trust, in line with the fundamental interests of the peoples of Tajikistan and Russia.
