PRC China plays vital role to help flood victims in Pakistan 

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Since mid-June, the devastating floods ravaged southern and northern cities in Pakistan, causing many casualties and heavy economic loss. Scholars of Pakistan Research Centers (PRC) have been concerned about the Pakistani brothers and sisters suffering from the disastrous floods.

They decided to help the victims when Dr. Shahid Hashmat, the former High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, present senior advisor and visiting professor of Hebei Normal University and Muhammad Asif Noor, Director of Institute of Peace & Diplomatic Studies, introduced the conditions of flood damage and forwarded relevant donation information. Beijing University, Hebei Normal University, Fudan University, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan donated 955,138 Pakistani rupees to Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Beijing for flood victims and sent over a message of sympathy to Pakistani iron brothers.

Professor Tang Mengsheng, on behalf of PRCs from China, delivered the donations to the Pakistani ambassador in Beijing. PRCs from Qinghua University, Yunnan Normal University, among many other universities, are extending help in many ways.

Moin ul Haque, Pakistani Ambassador to China and professor Tang Mengsheng, Director of PRC, Beijing University Pakistan Research Center of Hebei Normal University called on enterprises to help Pakistani iron brothers and Chengdu Vivedm Technology Co..Ltd is donating for Balochistan, one of the worst affected regions.
PRC works as a platform between Pakistan and China, providing intellectual support for relevant academic exchanges and economic cooperation in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative. “Our objectives to make research on Pakistan are to know our friend better, to offer help when they are in need and to share progress with each other”, said a researcher from PRC, Hebei Normal University.
In communicating with Pakistani researchers at numerous international conferences, webinars, seminars, and lectures, Chinese scholars have deeply felt the China-Pakistan brotherhood friendship. In this moment of crisis, PRCs would like to pay their efforts for flood fighting and reconstruction, and sincerely hope that Pakistan will soon get over these difficulties and rebuild their beautiful homes.
