President of Uzbekistan arrives in Astana

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, arrived in Astana on a working visit on Wednesday.

At the airport, the head of our state was met by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan A. Smailov and other officials.

On 13-14 October, Astana will host meetings of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia and the Council of Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The President of Uzbekistan will take part in them and make a speech.

The agenda of the summits includes issues of increasing mutual trade and promoting industrial cooperation projects, establishing efficient transport communications, ensuring food security and combating climate change.

The program of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan also stipulates a number of bilateral meetings and multilateral negotiations with the heads of delegations of the partner countries.
