Pakistan looking forward to further strengthen bilateral relations with Indonesia: Kh. Asif

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Pakistan H. E. Adam M Tugio called on Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif in his office in Islamabad.

Upon his arrival the Minister welcomed the dignitary and conveyed that Pakistan attaches great value to its relations with Indonesia which are governed by mutual respect and cooperation.

The Minister further said that Indonesia and Pakistan have maintained decades old close and cordial relations blessed with historical roots. He mentioned that Pakistan and Indonesia have shared perceptions on important regional matters.

He appreciated the efforts of Indonesian Government for providing platform for creating a favorable and long lasting peaceful environment in the Asia Pacific Region in the form of Jakarta International Defence Dialogue (JIDD).

The Minister reiterated that Pakistan strongly condemns terrorism in all its foras and manifestations. He commended Indonesian Government success in fighting terrorism and its concerted efforts to dismantle terror networks.

He informed that regional and global stability, security and peace are our common goals. He expressed desire that Pakistan is looking forward to further strengthen bilateral relations with Indonesian defence industries vis-à-vis regular exchange.

The visiting dignitary acknowledged the existing scope and scale of cooperation in the field of defence between the two countries and desired to undertake the joint ventures in the respective field on progressive basis.
