DUBAI, TGO: The UAE and Ghana will on March 9, 2022, be exploring ways to strengthen business relations, and discussing prospects of signing mutually-beneficial partnership agreements.

During the “Ghana: Limitless Opportunities Business Forum”, which will take place at Jafza One Convention Center, Jebel Ali Free zone, the two countries will delve into viable business and investment opportunities.

To foster discussions, the event will assemble major high-profile stakeholders including; President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Trade and Industry of Ghana Alan Kyerematen, Ambassador of Ghana to the UAE, Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan, and the CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC) Yofi Grant.

The event will also be attended by several top CEOs, managers of local governmental and private economic entities as well as representatives of the Ghanaian business community.

The Ghana Business Forum will feature a number of panel discussions covering energy, housing & construction, sanitation, trade & manufacturing, tourism, arts and culture.

During the event, the UAE and Ghana will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to create an attractive environment for UAE-Ghanaian companies, encourage the exchange of trade missions, and facilitate information exchange between the two parties.

The UAE-Ghana economic relations have in recent times greatly advanced, following the opening of an office by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ghana, back in 2015. Subsequently, the UAE opened an embassy in Accra in 2017, while Ghana opened an embassy in Abu Dhabi in 2018.

With such strong ties, the two sides have exchanged a number of visits by business and government delegations. Currently, more than 68 Emirati companies are registered in Ghana, carrying out multiple projects and helping boost the trade exchange between the two countries.

The Ghana Business Forum forms will therefore form part of undertakings to ensure continuity of the UAE-Ghana business relationship.
