Uzbekistan and Tajikistan sign travel cooperation agreements

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Travel companies of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan signed 21 cooperation agreements within the framework of the tourism and trade forum, which took place in the city of Dushanbe.

The event was held with the support of the Government of the country and at the initiative of the Committee for Tourism Development.The forum was attended by the leadership of the Committee for Tourism Development, representatives of ministries and departments of Tajikistan, associations, domestic travel companies, hotels, boarding houses and medical institutions, from Uzbekistan – representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, travel companies of the country.

At the forum, the parties provided information on the tourism potential of both countries. Hope was expressed that the use of best practices and knowledge in the field of tourism in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will provide comprehensive assistance to the further development of humanitarian cooperation in strengthening joint tourism and cultural ties in the Central Asian region.

The tourism cooperation agreement aims to develop relations in priority areas, including the exchange of information on the development of tourism through publications, films, promotional events, conferences, training, organizing exhibitions and establishing cooperation between domestic tourism companies and tourism companies in Uzbekistan.

The start of a visa-free regime between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan created an effective chain that contributed not only to the development of the tourism sector between the two countries, but also to regional tourism cooperation.
