Uzbek President to attend extraordinary summit of Organization of Turkic States today

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to the city of Ankara on 15-16 March to attend the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Turkic States.

By the agenda of the extraordinary summit, prospects for the development of multilateral cooperation in emergency management and humanitarian assistance, as well as coordination of efforts in the prevention and overcoming of the consequences of natural disasters, will be considered.

Views will be exchanged on current international and regional issues.

The program of the visit also provides for holding several bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit.

It should be noted that this year the Republic of Uzbekistan chairs the Organization of Turkic States. In accordance with the agreements of the Samarkand Summit, more than 30 multilateral events are being implemented aimed at further enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, green economy, investment, innovation, transport, logistics, science, education, cultural and humanitarian exchange.
