Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan Sign Agreement to Expand Cooperation in Film Industry

Lachin, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have signed a document aimed at expanding cooperation in the film industry on the sidelines of the Lachin International Film Festival.

The document was signed by Amil Amal, Director of the Lachin International Film Festival and Head of the “Hochazfilm” Creative Studio, and Uzbek producer Eldar Yuldashev.

Under the agreement, films produced by “Hochazfilm” are planned to be screened in cinemas across Uzbekistan, providing an opportunity to introduce Azerbaijani cinematic works to Uzbek audiences.

The signing marks an important step towards strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in the film industry, facilitating film exchanges and fostering closer creative ties between professionals and institutions from the two countries.

The initiative is also expected to contribute to the further development of cultural cooperation and create new opportunities for joint projects and exchanges between Azerbaijani and Uzbek filmmakers.
