Uzbekistan, Italy sign MoU to launch luxury train between historical cities of Uzbekistan
Samarkand, The Gulf Observer: At the session of the UNWTO General Assembly, the Chairman of the Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan U. Shodiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC Kh. Rakhmetov and the Italian Arsenale Group signed an Agreement of Understanding.
According to MoU, at the end of 2026, a Luxury Train Cruising tourist train will be launched between the historical cities of Uzbekistan.
“The purpose of this cooperation is to familiarize the whole world with the rich cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan, as well as the further development of domestic and foreign tourism,” said Umid Shodiev.
Uzbekistan is striving to become a major tourist destination in Central Asia
The launch of Luxury Train Cruising is the next important step in achieving this goal.
“Uzbekistan has interesting architectural monuments and valuable historical heritage, so we chose your country for the purpose of cooperation,” said P. Barletta, General Director of the Arsenale Group.
