Azerbaijan's FM meets with President of Iran

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: As part of his working visit to attend the first 3+3 ministerial meeting in Tehran, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the main issues on the agenda between Azerbaijan and Iran, as well as opportunities for cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats. The two exchanged views on the prospects for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and peace process, as well as the current situation in the region.

The sides hailed the meetings held between the two countries in recent months and contacts within the framework of the bilateral economic commission, as well as the increasing dynamics of cooperation in a number of areas. They also stressed the importance of further expanding high-level meetings and inter-institutional contacts.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the Iranian President about 24 hours of anti-terrorist measures, as well as the measures taken within the framework of peace agenda after Azerbaijan regained its full sovereignty over its territory. The FM once again drew attention to Azerbaijan’s commitment to establish peace and security in the region, and bring lasting peace to the region, as well as promote regional cooperation.
