Ziroat Mirziyoyeva visits National Museum of Qatar, Museum of Islamic Art

Doha, The Gulf Observer: The First Lady of Uzbekistan Ziroat Mirziyoyeva got acquainted with the National Museum of Qatar and the Museum of Islamic Art.

The National Museum of Qatar opened in 2019. It reflects the history of the state, customs, and traditions of the people of Qatar, and information about monuments in the country. Museum visitors get acquainted with the nature of the Persian Gulf and the rare animals living there.

The Museum of Islamic Art has a special place among the attractions of Qatar. It was opened in 2008.

The five-story building is located on an artificial island off the coast of Doha. The diversity of traditional culture and the versatility of Islamic art are reflected here.

The museum houses objects of Islamic art created in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East from the 7th to the 19th centuries. There is a library and reading room with 200 seats, a restoration laboratory, and presentation rooms.

A copy of a page from the Quran, brought from Samarkand, is also kept in the museum. This testifies to the people of the two countries’ strong friendship and spiritual community.
