President Tokayev Calls for Radical Reevaluation of Government and Local Authorities' Operations

Astana, The Gulf Observer: In a decisive move to enhance efficiency and accelerate the pace of reforms, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev urged members of the recently formed Government and local and regional authorities to undergo a profound reassessment of their working methods. The directive was delivered during an extended session of the Government, as reported by the Kazakh News Agency.

President Tokayev emphasized the need for a transformative approach, urging authorities to shift their focus towards achieving tangible results and eliminating bureaucratic impediments. He highlighted that the existing tools at the disposal of the Government and akimats are sufficient to address the tasks at hand, but regrettably, their full potential is often underutilized, causing a slowdown in the reform process.

The Head of State expressed his unequivocal dissatisfaction with the prevailing inefficiencies, deeming them unacceptable for the nation’s progress. President Tokayev underscored that the time has come for a comprehensive reevaluation of the operational strategies employed by both the Government and local authorities.

In his address, President Tokayev asserted that a critical aspect of overcoming these challenges lies in the gradual and dynamic liberalization of Kazakhstan’s economy. He argued that only through such a strategic and progressive approach can the country ascend to a new echelon of development.

The President’s call for a radical rethink of working methodologies aligns with the broader vision for Kazakhstan’s advancement, emphasizing the imperative nature of embracing change and unlocking the full potential of available resources. As the Government and local authorities embark on this transformative journey, the nation anticipates accelerated reforms and a renewed commitment to driving sustained growth and development.
