U.S. Consulate in Dubai Celebrates 248th Independence Day and U.S. National Day Under the Theme “The Future is Now”
Dubai, The Gulf Observer: Meghan Gregonis, Consul-General of the United States in Dubai, highlighted the significance of celebrating the U.S. National Day and the 248th Independence Day as a crucial opportunity to honor the deep-rooted bilateral relations and strategic partnership between the United States of America and the United Arab Emirates.
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during the U.S. Consulate in Dubai’s festivities under the slogan “The Future is Now,” Gregonis underscored the robust presence of 1,500 U.S. companies operating in the UAE. She emphasized that these companies are actively participating in the UAE Innovation Month, seizing the occasion to showcase their innovations across various fields.
Gregonis commended Dubai as an innovative city, highlighting the presence of 12 U.S. companies with innovation centers where cutting-edge technologies are exhibited. She expressed pride in the American national companies that are unveiling their latest achievements, particularly in the dynamic field of the automotive industry.
The celebratory event drew the participation of numerous dignitaries and representatives from various bodies. It featured a diverse range of American performances, a virtual baseball platform, and an exhibition showcasing the latest products from major American companies.
As the Consul-General celebrated the enduring friendship between the United States and the UAE, she emphasized the mutual commitment to innovation and progress. The theme “The Future is Now” encapsulates the shared vision for a future marked by continued collaboration and advancements in various domains.
