President Aliyev and President Tokayev Conclude Talks with Impressive Shared Plans
Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan lauded Azerbaijan as a strategic partner during a press conference, emphasizing the significance of his state visit and the fruitful collaboration between the two nations. The remarks were made during a press conference, as reported by Akorda.
President Tokayev underscored the paramount importance of the ongoing state visit in advancing bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. He highlighted the success of the visit, citing the signing of crucial documents and agreements. President Tokayev stressed that the meticulous preparations, including the leadership of a comprehensive delegation, demonstrated the commitment to enhancing all aspects of the bilateral relationship.
“The work of our governments and relevant agencies will focus on the full realization of all agreements reached at the highest meeting,” stated President Tokayev, emphasizing the commitment to translating agreements into concrete actions.
The Kazakh Head of State commended the exemplary nature of the relationship between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, characterizing it as an interstate partnership built on friendship, trust, mutual respect, and shared interests. He affirmed that high-level engagements contribute significantly to strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries.
President Tokayev highlighted the importance of discussions during the first meeting of the Kazakhstani-Azerbaijan Supreme Interstate Council. He acknowledged the growing global competition for access to transport and logistics capabilities, emphasizing the strategic collaboration between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in this crucial area. He particularly praised the inauguration of the railway route from the Xi’an port across Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan as a pivotal event.
Speaking on cultural and humanitarian cooperation, President Tokayev expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan’s hosting of the “Days of Culture of Kazakhstan” and elaborated on their joint efforts in international organizations such as the UN, OTS, OSCE, ASEAN, SPECA, and CIS.
In response, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev thanked President Tokayev for the visit and expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the talks. President Aliyev emphasized the reality of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and its potential to define the level of regional cooperation. He highlighted the commitment of both nations to regional collaboration and strengthening relations with neighbors, considering the Caspian Sea not as a barrier but as a bridge connecting nations.
