President Tokayev Condemns Attack on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico

Astana, The Gulf Observer: According to media reports, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has unequivocally condemned the recent attack on Prime Minister Robert Fico of Slovakia.

Expressing deep concern over the incident, President Tokayev emphasized the longstanding ties of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation that exist between Kazakhstan and Slovakia. He underscored the importance of maintaining peace and security, both domestically and internationally, as fundamental principles guiding bilateral relations.

In a gesture of goodwill, President Tokayev extended his sincere wishes for the swift recovery of Prime Minister Robert Fico, expressing hope for his prompt return to health and duty.

The attack on Prime Minister Fico occurred in Handlova, as he was engaging with citizens outside a cultural community center following a government meeting. The circumstances surrounding the attack are currently under investigation by Slovak authorities.
