China Hosts Exhibition of Kazakh National Museum Artifacts at Shaanxi History Museum

Xi’an, The Gulf Observer: An exhibition celebrating the 10th anniversary of the UNESCO listing of the Silk Road starting from Chang’an was unveiled as part of International Museum Day at the Shaanxi History Museum (SHM) in Xi’an, according to reports of the Kazakh Ministry of Information.

In 2014, China, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan jointly applied for the recognition of “The Silk Road: The Routes Network of Chang’an-Tianshan Corridor” as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This exhibition commemorates that successful listing and showcases a rich collection of artifacts from the National Museum of Kazakhstan.

The exhibition highlights the historical and cultural significance of the Silk Road, displaying various artifacts that illustrate the extensive trade and cultural exchanges facilitated by this ancient network. The artifacts provide insights into the diverse civilizations that were connected by the Silk Road and their contributions to the shared heritage of humanity.

The exhibition will be open to the public until August 18, 2024, offering visitors an opportunity to explore the legacy of the Silk Road and its impact on the development of human civilization.
