Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Presidents Reaffirm Strategic Partnership in Samarkand Meeting

Samarkand, The Gulf Observer: On the sidelines of a major summit in Samarkand, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to discuss the ongoing development of bilateral relations and strategic cooperation.
The leaders reviewed the progress made following their recent informal talks in Almaty and explored new avenues to strengthen the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan strategic partnership and alliance.
During the meeting, both sides underscored the importance of coordinated efforts between their governments, particularly in expanding bilateral trade, enhancing joint economic projects, and promoting humanitarian initiatives — including those implemented at the regional level.
One of the key outcomes of the discussion was the mutual agreement to accelerate the launch of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation, a flagship initiative expected to boost industrial collaboration and economic integration between the two nations.
The two presidents also exchanged views on pressing regional issues and reviewed the calendar of upcoming high-level bilateral events, reaffirming their commitment to sustained and productive dialogue.
