President Tokayev Awards State Prizes to Outstanding Media Contributors in Kazakhstan

Astana, The Gulf Observer: In a prestigious ceremony at the presidential residence Akorda, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan conferred state prizes to individuals who have made exemplary contributions to journalism and the television industry, as reported by media outlets citing the Akorda press service.

Among the recipients of these honors was Kairat Makazhanov, Deputy Director of the TV and Radio Complex of the President of Kazakhstan, who was awarded the esteemed Kurmet Order for his pivotal role in advancing technical and production standards within Kazakh media enterprises.

Anuar Karbozov, distinguished host of the Jibek Joly TV channel under the TV and Radio Complex, was honored with a presidential grant for his outstanding contributions to media, including hosting prominent programs such as Zhana Uakyt, Ukimet.Live, and Majilis.Live, which spotlight Kazakh governmental and parliamentary affairs.

Additionally, the Kazakh Presidential Prize in the field of mass media was bestowed upon several prominent journalists, including Sabit Maldybayev, Baurzhan Uteuliyev, Elena Preobrazhenskaya, and Tolen Tileubay, recognizing their pivotal roles in enhancing domestic journalism through publications like Kazakhstanskaya Pravda, Turkistan, Interfax-Kazakhstan News Agency, and Astana aqshamy, respectively.

President Tokayev also awarded presidential grants to Akerke Bektas, Dinara Zhanbatyrova, and Gulsezim Biyasheva for their exceptional contributions to media through programs on Qazaqstan TV, Khabar Agency, and Oral oniri newspaper, respectively.

Furthermore, creative teams from 24KZ TV channel, Liter newspaper, Baq.kz news agency, and Aktobe socio-political newspaper received Presidential letters of admiration for their significant roles in enriching Kazakhstan’s media landscape.

The ceremony underscored Kazakhstan’s commitment to fostering excellence in journalism and television broadcasting, recognizing the vital role of media in informing and engaging the public.
