Algeria and Pakistan Agree to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation, Discuss Regional Developments
Amman, The Gulf Observer: Algeria and Pakistan have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation across diverse sectors during a high-level meeting between Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, in Amman, Jordan.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ministerial conference titled “In Support of Jerusalem and Its Holy Sites,” convened by the Arab Ministerial Committee tasked with international action to confront illegal Israeli policies and measures in occupied Jerusalem.
During their discussions, the two foreign ministers reviewed the current state of Algerian-Pakistani relations and expressed satisfaction with the longstanding ties between the two countries. They agreed to intensify efforts to further strengthen bilateral cooperation by activating existing institutional frameworks and expanding collaboration across various fields at the earliest opportunity.
The meeting also featured an exchange of views on key regional and international developments of mutual concern. Both sides focused particularly on the Palestinian issue and the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, reaffirming their support for the Palestinian cause and the need for sustained international efforts to address the ongoing crisis.
In addition, the ministers discussed Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at easing tensions in the Middle East and emphasized the importance of dialogue, regional stability, and peaceful conflict resolution.
The meeting reflected the shared commitment of Algeria and Pakistan to enhancing their strategic partnership while coordinating closely on regional and global issues of common interest.
