Amir of Qatar and Turkmen President witness signing of agreements and MoUs

Doha, The Gulf Observer: The Amir of Qatar HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE Serdar Berdimuhamedow, President of Turkmenistan, witnessed today at the Amiri Diwan the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding between the governments of the two countries.

His Highness the Amir and His Excellency the Turkmen President witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of disaster management between the governments of the two countries, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Public Prosecution Office of the State of Qatar and the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Turkmenistan, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of youth between the governments of Qatar and Turkmenistan, and a program for cooperation in the field of sports between the Ministry of Sports and Youth in the State of Qatar and the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports in Turkmenistan for the two years (2023-2024).

The Amir and the Turkmen President also witnessed the signing of an agreement to encourage and protect mutual investments between the governments of the two countries, and a memorandum of understanding regarding cooperation between the Ministry of Labour in the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population in Turkmenistan, in addition to an agreement on exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and private passports service between the two governments.

A number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials attended the signing ceremony.

On the Turkmen side, it was attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying His Excellency the President.
