Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: The sermon on Arafat this year is expected to reach an audience of 1 billion people worldwide, according to a report by the Saudi Press Agency on Sunday. The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques will oversee the global broadcast of the sermon.
The initiative, named after King Salman, aims to disseminate Islam’s core messages of religious tolerance, moderation, and peace. Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, president of the general presidency, emphasized the significance of this project in promoting these values.
“The King Salman project underscores Islam’s dedication to fostering peace and understanding across diverse cultures and communities,” Al-Sudais stated.
